A challenge? Yes, it was indeed! From October 29th until November 1st, the DHC (Defense Helicopter Command) of the Royal Netherlands Air Force conducted an exercise together with the soldiers of the Air Mobile Brigade. Main objective is to train the helicopter pilots for their possible missions around the world.
On Thursday October 31th, an old brick factory along the river Lek, near Rijswijk (Gelderland province, The Netherlands), was the main target. Four AH-64 Apaches flew as air cover when Chinooks of the latest F-version ferried the Air Mobile Brigade soldiers in and out. AIRheads↑FLY was there, and took the challenge to get some interesting shots of the mighty Grizzly’s (which is the callsign of the RNLAF 298 Squadron Chinooks). Mission accomplished!
