Air Tahiti Nui orders Dreamliners

Air Tahiti Nui has announced that it will buy two 787-9 Dreamliners directly from Boeing at about US$ 514 million.

The flag-carrier for French Polynesia, has headquarters in Papeete and operates from Faa’a International Airport on the island of Tahiti.

Although a small purchase in number of aircraft, the deal – once finalized – will mean a big push forward for the airline. Air Tahiti Nui currently operates a small fleet of only five Airbus A340-300 four-engine long-range passenger aircraft.
