Just as the pilots and ground crew of 12 A-10C Thunderbolts that arrived last week in Europe, familiarize themselves at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany, the next Theater Security Package (TSP) is announced. In April, a number of F-15C Eagles will cross the Atlantic to reinforce US and NATO assets, it is said at Spangdahlem.
The deployments are a clear sign to Russia over its involvement in the Ukraine war. It is not yet known which European airfield will host the F-15s. Meanwhile, the A-10s in Germany have started flying regular sorties this week, with two aircraft that diverted to Amsterdam Schiphol airport now also safely at Spangdahlem. The tank killers are said to regularly deploy further to eastern Europe during their stay in Europe. It’s likely Spangdahlem will serve as their main base of operations, however.
