Sukhoi has started production of its 100th Superjet 100 at the plant Gagarin KnAAZ in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Chkalov NAZ in Novosibirsk on 2 February 2015.
After the fuselage assembly the following shall be installed: luggage compartment subfloor, passenger doors, service doors, luggage compartment doors, passenger compartment glass and cable network. The fuselage shall be covered with a protective finishing and other works will be done as well. These activities will be sequentially performed on four stations at the production plant.
Aircraft assembly shall continue at Final Assembly Line of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company branch in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The works are carried out there at seven workplaces. On seven stations the manufacturer’s personnel will connect the wings to the fuselage, install the landing gear and engines and do a systems interoperability test, amongst other things.
After first ground and flight tests are finished in Komsomolsk-on-Amur the 100th aircraft will go to the paint shop and will get its interior installed.
The anniversary Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft with 95100 production number is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2015.
