Peru Spartan deal signed

More C-27J Spartan news this week, following the delivery of the 7th and final aircraft to Romania. This time, it’s Peru that formally signed a contract with Alenia Aermacchi for two more C-27J. The 100 million EUR deal, that was on the cards for quite some time, follows the earlier purchase of two Spartan now being readied for delivery to Peru.

The aircraft will be operated by 8th Air Group based at Callao. Other than Peru, the C-27J Spartan has already been ordered by the air forces of Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Romania, Morocco, Slovakia and by United States, Mexico, Australia and an undisclosed African country. In total, 80 aircraft have been ordered so far.
