A piece of Presley

Want to own a rather special bit of Elvis Presley memorabilia? Or actually, two bits? Than you’d better bid on the Convair 880 named Lisa Marie and the equally un-flyable Lockheed Jetstar named ‘Hound Dog II’. Both were owned by The King and are up for auction. They should bring in an estimated 10 to 15 million USD.

Elvis Presley purchased both in 1975. The King bought the Convair for 250,000 USD from Delta Air Lines, and then did some redecorating on the insides – bedroom included – for a another 300,000 USD. In the same year, Elvis bought the JetStar for 900,000 USD.  Both aircraft are currently on display at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.

So, interested? Bring your wallet, and do so before 2 February 2015.
