Airbus A330neo order Avolon in the pocket

Airbus got itself a nice deal with Avolon Aircraft Leasing. The Irish-based company firmed up a planned order for 15 A330neo airliners.

The plans were announced at the Farnborough International Airshow last Summer, making Avolon a launch customer for the new A330 version.

The A330-800neo and the A330-900neo are two new members of the Airbus Widebody Family launched in July 2014 with first deliveries scheduled to start in Q4 2017. The A330neo incorporates latest generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, aerodynamic enhancements and new cabin features.

Avolon has many famous airlines amongst its customers. This Summer and Autumn the company was able to place earlier ordered A330s with Garuda Indonesia (4) and Philippine Airlines (4).
