Sixth A400M for French Air Force arrived

The 6th Airbus A400M Atlas of the French Air Force (Armée de l’Air; AdlA) reported for duty on 18 December 2014. The aircraft (MSN 14) landed at BA 123 Orléans-Bricy at 17:00 local time, according to a statement released by the AdlA on 22 December.

It has been a great year for the A400M in French Air Force service, with many new records set. The 5th AdlA A400M already was engaged in its first operational mission, to Central Africa, in October this year.

France is way ahead of other countries that buy the Airbus military airlifter. With Orléans-Bricy slowly approaching squadron strength, the German Air Force has just accepted its first A400M on 18 December, and the Royal Air Force was just a month earlier with its first Atlas.
