A small little party at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago in Chile on 5 December 2014, as LAN Airlines saw the arrival of its first Airbus A321.

Being part of the LATAM Group (LAN and TAM) the arrival marks the continuation of the fused airlines as the largest A320 family operator in Latin America, with 230 Airbus A320s and derivatives in the fleet. The A321 is the first of 48 ordered and will operate on Chilean domestic routes.

The A321 aircraft ordered by LAN have a one-class configuration with 220 seats and feature a new LATAM Airlines Group’s cabin, which is a blend of LAN and TAM cabin designs.
