E-Jets for JAL: 15 planes and maybe more

Japan Airlines (JAL) placed another firm order for 15 E-Jets, comprising E170s and E190s, and placed options for another 12. All to be operated JAL’s subsidary J-Air. The value of the firm order is estimated at USD 677 million, based on 2014 list prices.

J-Air flies from Osaka’s Itami Airport and already operates 15 E170s. The new E-Jets are planned for delivery from 2015 on. The airliner makes 176 daily flights and serves 21 cities that include Sapporo, Sendai, Kagoshima, Miyazaki and Fukuoka.
