Airbus Helicopters has finalised delivery of THK Gökçen Aviation order for the EC135 helicopter in the emergency medical service (EMS) version. The company – part of the Turkish Aeronautical Association – not operates 17 rotary-wings of the type.

The hand-over of the last EC135 took place at Airbus Helicopters’ plant in Donauwörth, Germany, where the double-engine choppers are assembled. Meanwhile THK Gökçen Aviation’s EMS EC135s have already clocked more than 2,000 flight hours since the chopper type was introducted in 2013. The company flies the aircraft on behalf of the Turkish Ministry of Health, with which THK GA has a five-year EMS contract.
