Sorry for all you Swiss, Australians, Americans, Finns, Kuwaitis, Malaysians and Spanish, but probably the coolest Hornet this summer comes from Canada!

The CF-18 Demo Hornet, serial 188761 flown by the Demonstration Team pilot Captain Adam “Manik” Runge, took to the skies with its new paint job on 4 April 2014 at 4 Wing Cold Lake, Alberta. It’s the home of the captain and his 409 Tactical Fighter Squadron.

The Royal Canadian Air Force calls the paint job “a masterful design” and who are we to disagree. The 2014 Hornet is the latest of more than 25 such creations from graphic artist Jim Belliveau, and the aircraft is the culmination of countless hours from the hard-working crews at 4 Wing Cold Lake, according to the RCAF.

Now there is only one thing to say to all of you who are not from the land of the Maple Leaf and happen to have a Hornet in the garage: we dare you to beat these cool looks. Good luck!
