The Lockheed Martin F-16I fighter jets of the Israeli Defence Force fly again, after being grounded for two months. The Israelie Defence Force grounded all F-16Is after engine failure maid a pilot eject from the type above sea. The grounding order not only affected the F-16I but the F-15I fleet as well, since they use the same engine. First out in the blue yonder on September 16, 2013, were the vipers from Ramon AB. Israel received a total of 362 F-16s of the A/B, C/D and F-16I types.
